We’re seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor (Ocean) to lead a small, high-performing team supporting international freight forwarding operations. This is an opportunity to step into a role where your precision, experience, and leadership directly shape performance and customer satisfaction.
As a hands-on leader, you’ll guide two local hybrid Senior Specialists, manage daily operations, and ensure smooth, compliant, and cost-effective international export processes. You’ll also work cross-functionally with global partners, clients, and carriers to keep shipments moving seamlessly — on time and by the book.
What You’ll Do
Supervise and mentor a team of 2 Senior Specialists in export documentation, booking, and client coordination.
Manage end-to-end international export operations , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all shipping and trade regulations.
Utilize CargoWise daily to oversee bookings, documentation, invoicing, and status tracking.
Serve as the point of escalation for shipment exceptions, customer inquiries, and carrier communications.
Audit files and processes to ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Train and develop staff to maintain excellence in operational execution and client service.
What You Bring
5+ years of freight forwarding experience , including international export operations .
2+ years of supervisory experience , with proven ability to lead and mentor staff.
2+ years of hands-on CargoWise experience — you know the platform inside and out.
Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and export compliance with specific, deep experience with Ocean.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
