We are seeking an experiencedLocums Plastic Surgery Physician to provide comprehensive clinic, OR, and callcoverage in Des Moines, Iowa. This role offers a stable weekday schedule with adefined call rotation and flexibility in block scheduling, making it anexcellent opportunity for an experienced plastic surgeon seeking a balancedlocum assignment.

Position Overview

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 36 patient contact hours per week
• Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• OR/Procedure Days: 2–4 days per week
• Call Rotation: Soft tissue call + clinic call/EMTALA
• Weekend Call: As needed
• Shift Options:
• 7 days on / 7 days off or
• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient plastic surgery evaluations, consultations, and follow-up care.
• Perform surgical procedures during assigned OR days (2–4 days weekly).
• Participate in soft tissue call coverage and EMTALA responsibilities.
• Manage inpatient consults and ensure timely communication with hospital teams.
• Collaborate with clinic staff, OR teams, and other specialists to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation within the clinic and hospital systems.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in both clinic and procedural settings.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Plastic Surgery
• Active Iowa Medical License or IMLC eligibility
• Must be experience
