Job Description
Crawford Orthodontic Care, PC is seeking an experienced and motivated Orthodontic Financial Processer to join our patient-centered practice. If you have a strong background in orthodontic, dental, or medical billing and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Review and present financial treatment plans to patients and families
Set up payment arrangements and assist with third-party financing
Verify insurance benefits and handle pre-authorizations
Submit insurance claims and follow up on denials or delays
Reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and patient ledgers
Follow up on outstanding balances with professionalism and tact
Generate financial and A/R reports for internal use
Ensure all billing practices comply with HIPAA and industry regulations
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of experience in orthodontic, dental, or medical billing
Familiarity with orthodontic practice management software (e.g., Dolphin, OrthoTrac, WaveOrtho, Open Dental)
Strong knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred:
Certification in dental/medical billing (e.g., CMRS, CDA)
Experience with Medicaid or orthodontic benefit programs
Understanding of orthodontic coding and terminology
