The Indian Health Service (IHS) Uintah-Ouray Service Unit at the Fort Duchesne PHS Indian Health Center in Fort Duchesne, Utah is seeking experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS/MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a government contract in its outpatient clinic. • Contract:  Minimum 3 months, with possible extension options
• Start Date:  ASAP - March 2026
• Outpatient Medical Clinic Lab Opportunity
• Mon - Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Full-time hours
• No Weekends or Holidays.
• Benefits offered
• Minimum Associate's degree in Medical Lab Science, Bachelor's degree preferred
• ASCP or equivalent required
• BLS, basic life support certification required
• Previous Medical/Clinical lab experience needed
• Prior Travel experience a plus
• Previous IHS experience preferred

The CLS or MLT, Clinical Lab Scientist, Medical Lab Tech or Medical lab Scientist, will provide services in clinical laboratory setting by performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology and microbiology as well as assisting in phlebotomy. Proficient in the operation of different laboratory equipment /analyzers, running quality controls, calibration of laboratory equipment and capable of applying professional judgement in resulting out challenging diagnostic laboratory results. Experience working in a primary care outpatient clinic setting. Experience providing care to patients within a rural area. Experience or familiarity working with an Electronic Health Record System

• MT, MLT, CLT, CLS shall have proper Qualifications.
• Must have valid ASCP certification, or equivalent.
• Shall have state licensure, if required.
• Minimum Associate's degree in Medical Lab Science, Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 year of laboratory experience Required, 2 years preferred
• Lab Experience in a health care setting, Hospital, Clinic, Medical Office
• Hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Must be willing to pass Federal Security Clearance
• Immunization records will be required
• must be a US citizen
