Job Description

Join a leading food manufacturing company in Columbus specializing in premium frozen food products! We are seeking skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians with strong mechanical AND electrical expertise for our state-of-the-art production facility. This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE opportunity with potential for permanent employment based on performance.

Available Shifts

• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday-Friday
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on packaging and processing machinery
• Support sanitation processes by breaking down equipment properly
• Troubleshoot and perform minor modifications to PLCs (Allen Bradley)
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
• Identify necessary replacement parts and estimate repair timeframes
• Maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
• Work in both raw food processing and packaging environments
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and USDA regulations
• Maintain clean and safe work areas at all times

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment (food production experience)
• Strong mechanical AND electrical troubleshooting skills required
• Experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley)
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and implementation
• Ability to work in varying temperature conditions (including freezers at -3 to -10 degrees)
• High school diploma or GED required (technical/vocational training or associate degree)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of USDA and food safety regulations
• Ability to lift up to 90 pounds
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be local to the Columbus, OH area (no relocation assistance provided)

Working Environment

• Food manufacturing facility with both raw processing and packaging areas
• Temperature-controlled environments, including freezers (-3 to -10 degrees)
• PPE provided by company (except safety shoes - steel toe, composite toe, slip?resistant footwear required)
• USDA-regulated facility with strict food safety standards
