Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in acute care and demonstrate proficiency in various nursing techniques. This role is critical in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures, collaborating with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate professional responsibility in implementing the nursing process.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout the surgical process.
• Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
• Document all nursing care provided, including patient responses and any changes in condition.
• Conduct and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Ability to apply read and interpret documents including but not limited to safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Education and Experience

• Current Registered Nurse License required
• Associate or BSN Degree required
• 2-3 years experience in OR Nursing preferred

Work Location: In person

OR RNs start off at an orientation. Following successful completion of orientation (typically 3-6 months) pay will be increased.
