The community you'll be working with: UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks Alternative School, Grades 3-12
The role you'll contribute:
Develops and implements art therapy treatment plans and teaches art classes to students in grades 3 through 12 in alternative school setting
The value you'll bring to the team:
Teaches art classes to students in grades 3 through 12.
Conducts student assessments to identify emotional and psychological needs.
Develops individualized art therapy treatment plans based on student assessments.
Creates and facilitates art therapy sessions tailored to each student's needs.
Collaborates with healthcare providers to integrate art therapy into the overall treatment plan.
Monitors and evaluates student progress during art therapy sessions.
Other duties as assigned.
Adjusts treatment plans as necessary based on student progress and feedback.
Coordinates therapeutic art activities for both individual and group sessions.
Observes and documents student responses to art therapy interventions.
Encourages student socialization and expression through art activities.
Provides students with information regarding resources and therapeutic art activities in the community.
Maintains detailed records of student assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss student care and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Required
Master's Preferred
Work Experience Required
Registered Art Therapist (ATR) Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Preferred
