Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time registered nurse position is available to support a preschool student in a school setting. This role requires hands-on care and active involvement in the student's daily routine, including 1:1 support and accompanying the student during transportation.

Location:

• DeKalb, Illinois
• One school assignment with services provided primarily at a preschool setting
• Position involves occasional bus riding to support student transport

Position Details:

• Contract-to-hire opportunity for the full school year
• Approximately 18 hours per week, Monday through Thursday
• Supporting a preschool student requiring trach and ventilator care
• Supervision will be provided by a para, RBT, CNA, or LPN

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required; LPN candidates will not be considered
• Experience in pediatric nursing and familiarity with tracheostomy and ventilator care preferred
• Ability to provide 1:1 care in educational settings
• Comfortable accompanying and supporting students during transportation and school activities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care tailored to the student's needs during school hours
• Assist with daily medical and physical needs including tracheostomy and ventilator management
• Collaborate with support staff and educators to ensure student safety and well-being
• Accompany the student during bus rides and transitions between home and school
