Position Summary
Amergis EducationalStaffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Registered Nurse (RN) tojoin our team. This role is vital in supporting the physical, mental, andemotional well-being of students in a school setting. The School RN applies thenursing process to deliver high-quality care, respond to medical emergencies,manage chronic conditions, and promote overall health and safety.
As a key liaisonbetween families, school staff, and healthcare providers, the School RN ensuresthat services are delivered in accordance with Amergis' philosophy, standards,policies, and physician orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to students
Respond to medical emergencies and manage chronic health conditions
Promote health education and wellness initiatives
Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate health records and documentation
Minimum Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
School Nurse Certification (as required by state or contract)
One year of experience in school nursing, public health, or pediatrics (preferred)
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
