Position Purpose

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads new product introduction and supports the development of robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes. This role focuses on metal forming, heat treatment, NDT, and CNC machining while driving lean initiatives, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new product introduction planning and execution

• Approve manufacturing work instructions, routings, and multi-level BOMs

• Oversee tooling and fixture design for production support

• Define process and equipment requirements for new or improved manufacturing methods

• Support development of new parts and processes to meet customer requirements

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management

• Support AS9100 compliance, audits, and corrective actions

• Drive lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Provide technical support for root cause analysis and process optimization

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an aerospace environment

• Strong background in metal forming, heat treat, NDT, and 4- and 5-axis CNC machining

• Familiarity with conventional and CNC mills and lathes

• Experience with lean manufacturing tools (6S, VSM, SPC, Standard Work)

• Experience with Inventor and Mastercam/Vericut preferred

• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills

• Comfortable working on the shop floor

• ITAR eligible

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9-hour workdays
