The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads new product introduction and supports the development of robust, cost-effective manufacturing processes. This role focuses on metal forming, heat treatment, NDT, and CNC machining while driving lean initiatives, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead new product introduction planning and execution
Approve manufacturing work instructions, routings, and multi-level BOMs
Oversee tooling and fixture design for production support
Define process and equipment requirements for new or improved manufacturing methods
Support development of new parts and processes to meet customer requirements
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management
Support AS9100 compliance, audits, and corrective actions
Drive lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide technical support for root cause analysis and process optimization
Qualifications
BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an aerospace environment
Strong background in metal forming, heat treat, NDT, and 4- and 5-axis CNC machining
Familiarity with conventional and CNC mills and lathes
Experience with lean manufacturing tools (6S, VSM, SPC, Standard Work)
Experience with Inventor and Mastercam/Vericut preferred
Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
Comfortable working on the shop floor

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually
