Job Description

The Technical Solution Architect is a strategic leader responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing enterprisewide technology solutions that support the organizations business objectives. This role ensures alignment between technical systems and business goals by driving architectural standards across onpremise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The architect will serve as the bridge between infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application development teams, focusing on solution scalability, performance, and compliance with modern security frameworks. This position will be onsite in our Oakdale, NY office. The schedule would be Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable technical solutions.
  • Design endtoend architecture for IT systems, covering infrastructure, applications, data, and security layers.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools to support modernization and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams, documentation, and technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and guide technical teams during design and implementation phases, providing architectural oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct impact analysis, risk assessments, and costbenefit evaluations for proposed solutions.
  • Promote innovation by identifying opportunities for automation, integration, and optimization across systems.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure solutions align with performance, scalability, and resilience standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, architecture frameworks, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required; Masters preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an enterprise solution architect; 7 years preferred.
  • Strong background in infrastructure, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity.
  • Proficiency with VMware, Windows Server, and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky).
  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba or ProCurve networking, and enterprise WiFi.
  • Handson experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, and IAM.
  • Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or other architecture frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lead crossfunctional initiatives and present complex concepts clearly.
  • Preferred Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, PCNSE, CISM, or TOGAF.
