Job Details

• Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
• Assesses needs of patients based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis.
• Delegates, supervises, and evaluates activities of team members while executing directives in urgent or emergent situations.
• Provides nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating Physician's prescribed medical plans.
• Completes verification of Safe Surgery checklist using service excellence standards.
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner.
• Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patient and staff, assuming duties within or out of sterile field as assigned.
• Prepares operating room for patient/procedure.
• Contributes to daily efficient performance of the department.
• Positions and prepares patient on operating table.
• Serves as communication liaison to family and operating team members.
• Demonstrates continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned depending on assignment setting.
• Participates in assigned call as scheduled.
• Knowledge of computer programs utilized to deliver patient care.
• Assists in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Performs all circulating duties with efficiency and speed.

Job Requirements

• BLS (AHA only) required for onboarding.
• Nursys nursing license required within 30 days of start.
• ACLS (AHA only) required for onboarding.
• License/Certificate Verification with primary source verification and copy of license/certificate needed (state specific registry).
• Proof of MMR immunizations or titer with lab printout; no declinations accepted.
• Proof of Hepatitis B vaccinations or titer with lab printout; no declinations accepted.
• Proof of Varicella immunizations or titer with lab printout; no declinations accepted.
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with specific timing requirements.
• Driver's License/State ID copy required.
• Social Security Card copy required.
• McLeod Criminal Background Check Results within 60 days of start covering last 7 years, updated annually.
• McLeod Employment Verification for 5 years.
• McLeod Drug Screen (10 panel) completed within 30 days of start; rapid drug screen not accepted.

Schedule Information

• Participates in assigned call as scheduled.

Additional Details

• Fit Test required for all travelers with make/model to be completed within a year of start (optional).
• Influenza Vaccine required September to April; medical/religious exemptions considered with physician or traveler statement.
• Annual Negative PPD if 2 step PPD not done within past year (optional).
• Annual TB Questionnaire (optional).
• Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray completed within 90 days of start (optional).
• McLeod Profile (Resume or Profile) required for submission; references preferred but not required.
• McLeod Skills Checklist clinical only, completed prior to start and updated annually.
• McLeod Confirmation of Assignment standard form required.
