Position Summary Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Maintenance Technician (Tech 3), you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing major drive train, HVAC, and brake system components on tractors and trailers. You will also perform advanced diagnostics on engine, drive train, and communication systems using technical and electronic equipment. What you'll do Job Title: Diesel Maintenance Technician (Tech 3) Requirements: 3 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, including advanced diagnostics 1 year's experience in HVAC and diagnostics Valid state-issued driver's license Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25 Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.16 Responsibilities: Diagnose, maintain, and repair major drive train, HVAC, and brake system components on tractors and trailers Perform advanced diagnostics on engine, drive train, and communication systems using technical and electronic equipment Maintain and repair tires, including installing and dismounting tires, and perform advanced axle alignments Provide preventative maintenance on brake system components, including adjustment or replacement Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing Perform 8-point inspection on yard and over-the-road tractors according to written procedures Identify and perform warrantable repairs by entering accurate information on the condition, cause, and correction into the maintenance system, completing warranty tags as needed, and ensuring parts are retained according to warranty guidelines and creating and processing warranty claims to ensure proper credit is received according to company guidelines Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cummins Insite Diagnostic Link, Wabco Toolbox, Bendix ACom Diagnostics, and other OEM software Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork skills Company Culture: We are committed to creating a culture of belonging, where associates feel seen, supported, and connected. The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $36.50* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
