VP, Finance - Boston - Hybrid - Base Salary DOE up to $200K A leading, multi-strategy credit investment firm is seeking a talented and driven finance professional to join the team supporting one of its flagship business development companies (BDC). This role offers a unique opportunity to work on public company financials while gaining exposure to a broad range of credit investments and alternative products. Ideal for candidates with a strong background in investment fund accounting, SEC reporting, and complex credit instruments. Responsibilities: Oversee financial statement preparation and analysis Review and reconcile quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) Support the design and implementation of SOX controls in preparation for ICFR audit readiness Understand and analyze a variety of complex credit investments (e.g., private debt, PIK, OID, structured instruments) Reconcile portfolio positions and perform asset qualification testing Manage monthly NAV calculations, accruals, and fund accounting in a shadow environment Monitor capital activity and distributions to ensure regulatory and tax compliance Lead quarterly reviews and annual audits Assist in preparing Board materials and management reports Collaborate cross-functionally with tax, legal, compliance, investor relations, valuation, and investment teams Qualifications: CPA highly preferred 8–12 years of experience, prior Big 4 experience a plus Strong understanding of GAAP, Reg S-X, and investment company accounting Experience with SEC reporting, BDCs, and SOX/internal controls Familiarity with level 3 assets and credit instruments including bank loans, bonds, and structured debt This is a high-impact role, offering exposure to senior leadership, complex investment vehicles, and public company operations.
